The Fairytale Love Story of #SilverFoxy Couple Kimberly and Michael

SF: How did you meet?

K&M: We met in 2003 when we were teenagers in high school. Even though we went to different high schools, it was fate that brought us together. We were introduced to each other through our group of friends. We began our journey together as friends but then on 11/22/03, we had our first kiss and since then we were inseparable!

SF: Tell us about the proposal!

K&M: Michael and I were dating for 12 years when he proposed to me. He took me on a date to a restaurant for paint night on 11/10/15. We started the night off with dinner and a few cocktails, then ended the night in complete shock and happily engaged! This moment was a long time awaited and an absolute dream come true. He truly painted a picture worth a thousand words that night, a picturesque night sky with the words "Will you marry me?" inside of a full moon.

SF: Any other special stories or details?

K&M: Michael and I never skipped a beat in our relationship, even despite the fact that we made it through an emotional 4 year long distance relationship. After 2 years of dating, Michael and his family moved to South Carolina. I remained in New York with my family and went to a local college. We decided to focus our time on our education and future career paths with hopes of Michael eventually moving back to New York. Communication was certainly key in our relationship. We spent every night talking on the phone with each other until one of us fell asleep on the line. Through these years we built an enormous amount of trust within each other. We quickly learned that we had very similar goals in life. After several phone calls, airline tickets, and tears, Michael eventually moved back to New York. We learned how to grow as adults together. We made a few very big decisions by moving into our very first apartment and our first walk down the beginning of our careers paths.

We learned a lot of life lessons during our long 12-year journey of dating. We truly proved who we were to each and as a whole. We are firm believers that good things happen to those who wait and things in life absolutely happen for a reason. It was truly fate that brought us together. We were meant to be together forever! It's an amazing feeling falling deeper and deeper in love every day with your high school sweetheart. We couldn't be anymore happier as husband and wife. We are very blessed!

Special details about our wedding- Our wedding was classic, vintage modern, and Kate Spade inspired. We are so glad we had the chance to live that fairytale wedding. Our day was nothing but magical and our relationship is nothing but a true love story. Another special detail about our wedding were our favors. We decided to make a donation in lieu of a favor because Michael's twin sister had a brain tumor as a child, therefore we felt the greatest gift we can appreciate is life. We made a donation in her honor to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
