Pantone just announced the color of the year for 2016! While the announcement always comes as a happy surprise, this year's was an especially great one because the color of the year is actually a blend of two colors! Rose Quartz and Serenity have been named this year's "it" duo.
A soft and warm light pink and a cool, light blue are said to evoke tranquility and balance when combined. Forget the old association that pink is for girls and blue is for boys, this blend challenges that idea and gives us a new perspective on both colors. We give the combo a big thumbs up and we cannot wait to start seeing these colors featured at your weddings. For a little inspiration, check out some of the color pairings suggested by Pantone to complete your wedding color palette!
Rose Quartz and Serenity are said by Pantone to be "appealing in all finishes, matte, metallic and glossy." They compliment mid-tones, plus all shades of pink and yellow. If you're looking for more energy in a color palette, the relaxing Rose Quartz and Serenity can be taken up a few notches when paired with some sparkle and bright colors.
