Name: Anaida & Lukasz
SF: How did you meet?:
A&L We met through our respective best friends, who are currently engaged and getting married later in the year. My friend (and best man at our wedding) took me bowling, where his girlfriend (and bridesmaid at our wedding) brought Anaida along. So we met at a bowling alley via mutual friends. My wife and I became friends for about a year, then started dating for 7 years, up until the proposal.
SF: Tell us about the proposal!:
A&L: My wife and I went to different colleges, hers in Brooklyn and mine in the city. We dated since Freshman year of college, and throughout all four years, I would see her after class, where we would walk to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and just enjoy each others' company for hours while looking at the NYC skyline. After graduating college in 2013, we didn't frequent the promenade as often. Given how special that place was to us for the majority of our relationship, I thought it would be an excellent place to propose. So on the evening of November 6, 2015, I went to the Promenade with my wife, got down on one knee, and proposed with the illuminated city skyline behind us. After, we went to Keens Steakhouse in the city and had an incredible steak dinner.

SF: Any other special stories or details?:
A&L: Shortly after the wedding, we decided to do our honeymoon in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, a pretty non-traditional honeymoon destination. We are huge National Parks people, and are on a mission to see as many of them as possible. The honeymoon exceeded all expectations, the food was incredible and we had an amazing time (nothing beats a mountain sunset).
