#FoxyFeature Nichole and Mike
Wedding Date: 4/28/2018
How did you meet?
It was one of the last “Out of the Weeds” Monday nights of summer 2013 at Mulcahys... I was there with all of my best girlfriends and Mike was there trying to let loose after a long day of work. Our two groups ended up together over a dance battle and Mike and I started talking and quickly hit it off. I guess you can say the rest is history!
Tell us about the proposal!:
Even though it was the end of October, it happened to be one of those oddly beautiful 80 degree days where spending time outside soaking up the sun was an absolute must. We decided to go for a nature walk through the Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre. As we made our way to the bridge overlooking the pond, Mike says “Go look, maybe there are alligators in there”... at the time I reluctantly looked knowing there were obviously no alligators, but later learned it gave him enough time to pull the box out of his pocket. When I turned back around from the ledge, Mike was making his way down on one knee and saying some of the most beautiful words and one liners (or so I assume since at this point everything went blurry) followed by “Will you marry me?” I said yes and cried and we embraced in celebration and as I turned around to see his cousin Niki in camouflage capturing the entire moment, I knew how truly lucky I was to now call Mike my fiancé!
