The wedding of Erin & Peter
How did Erin & Peter meet?
We met at work! We are both registered nurses and met while completing a critical care fellowship several years ago.
How did he propose?
Our proposal was very sweet and simple. We were walking around town on one of those special August evenings when the weather is just right under the guise of getting ice cream. I could tell it was coming because of Peter’s nerves but he inevitably pulled it off! Our families were waiting for us back at his parents’ house to celebrate with lots of champagne!
Any special stories you want to share?
Well to start, it was a pandemic wedding. We did all the things to plan our big day, set for September 2020. Booked the venue, vendors, bought the dress, got the hotel, sent the save the dates - locked it all down. Then, COVID hit. As two nurses, one of which (Peter) was in the trenches of the ICU, we knew early on we were in this for the long haul. We canceled everything in March, and succumbed to the reality that our priorities had vastly changed. We decided to no longer wait out the pandemic and got married in my sister’s backyard in July. We put the entire thing together in a few short weeks and invited only parents and siblings. It was a beautiful day (despite the heat!) and went off without a hitch. As this pandemic continues to rage on we are grateful to ultimately get what we both wanted - to be husband and wife.

Photography - Silverfox, obviously! We had booked Silverfox as our first vendor and were so lucky to have Lauren available for our day with a few weeks notice. We cannot say enough about Lauren! She was a true professional and a welcomed addition to our small family gathering. She captured everything as we had wanted and created great shots for us. She truly gave us the greatest gift as so many of our loved ones only get to experience our wedding by looking at her photos.
