Silverfox Wedding of the Year 2021 Winners:
The Vineyards at Aquebogue
“We met back in March 2014 at Irish day in Rockville center through friends! (My friend and ‘her now’ husband who knew Cody - so they always love a shout out that thanks to them this would never be :) )It was July 2, 2020 I had taken the day off from work for an extended holiday weekend and planned a day at the winery with a girlfriend - because who doesn’t love a girls day! Cody was home laying out clothes right in front of me so I asked where did he think he was going? And he replied ‘going to play golf’ (which I wouldn’t have doubted since he goes every other day in the summer) And it was beautiful out I remember it like yesterday - blue skies not overwhelmingly hot it was a picture perfect day. We stopped at a few spots and my girlfriend had mentioned how she went to Kontokosta once, it was on the water and I figured ‘that will be perfect for Instagram’ haha. We started walking towards the water, she had me step out by myself for a picture and out walked Cody from the distance with flowers! I honestly didn’t even see it coming, no inkling, wasn’t even expecting anything since we were in the middle of a pandemic!! But the two of them really pulled a fast one on me and you saw that reaction in the video she took for sure. What was our wedding day like or my birthday like? ;) no, not planned! Haha Our wedding day was everything we pictured it would be and more! It was beautiful. We felt like everything fell into place between the vibe we were looking for, the venue, our whole Silverfox team - from photo/video/MC / DJ, it couldn’t have been any more perfect! The people we worked with that day made everything so easy and kept us so calm from beginning to end which was really helpful in keeping those ‘wedding day jitters’ at rest. The day was filled with laughs, tears (happy, of course) love and energy!Since the pandemic, all we wanted to do that day was be around our favorite people and dance the night away - and that we did! I kept saying days after the wedding, “I wish we can do it again!” And Cody would say we would never be able to re-do such a great day... and he’s right, it was a beautiful day!Our relationship has definitely evolved over the course of 8 years! In the beginning with a 4 year difference in age, there was that ‘butting heads’ phase of who wanted to still go out/stay out late and who had real responsibilities. You always go through these stages, it’s all how you learn to work them out. We went from living completely separate lives to meshing into 1, now being homeowners and looking to start a family. Everyday was and is an adventure and we can’t wait to see what’s next!”
